House PortraitsAfter more than ten years of offering this service, House Portraits remain my most popular request. They make thoughtful gifts for new homeowners, those leaving a beloved home, and for the important people in your life who are hard to shop for.
I work from reference photos and check in with my clients throughout the process to ensure the portrait's layout and details align with their vision. Portraits are booked in two-week increments based on my current availability, with longer wait times from mid-October through January. House Portrait Pricing 2024

Recipe PortraitsAs someone that loves to cook and share meals with loved ones, I know how much significance a family recipe or a specialty drink can have. While it can be difficult to visually translate those moments, I find the combination of a hand-written recipe with its brightly illustrated ingredients creates a piece that matches the warmth of the recipe.
It's helpful to have reference photos of your finished recipe for this as well as guidance on what your go-to ingredients or brands are. I can incorporate your written recipe or rewrite it for you. Currently, my recipe portraits come with up to three artist print copies. Recipe Portrait Pricing 2024

A New Take On A Wedding Guest BookWhile planning the details of her wedding, Julia reached out to me with a nontraditional idea for her wedding guest book. She wanted an illustration of her wedding venue (and its incredible garden) to display in her home, but also wanted to incorporate the notes from her loved ones around it. We decided to illustration the venue at the 11x14" size and get an oversized white mat around it for people to sign as they arrived at the wedding. To preserve the original portrait, we made a print of the illustration for display at the event.
(Custom cocktail portraits are great for your wedding's signature drinks too!) |
"Kaitlyn is a skilled illustrator and designer, and her professionalism and responsiveness is top notch. I requested a custom house portrait of my family home in a winter scape and the final product is simply stunning. Kaitlyn was incredibly attentive to the details of the portrait and communicated with me as she progressed with the project to ensure alignment. I will definitely be recommending YellowLeaf Design to anyone in my network looking for beautiful work." |
Gifting a Memory to a Long Distance PartnerFrancesca was looking for an illustrator to capture a photograph of her and her partner in front of their favorite building in the North End of Boston. We worked off of a few reference photos to make sure the details of the building were highlighted without taking away from the focus of the couple. At the time, her partner had recently moved into a new apartment across the country and she wanted to give her a Christmas gift that would make her new space feel more like home.
